The M is a truly green project, designed to combine environmental protection while conserving our natural resources. That is how the project abides with several points of sustainable development from the LEED program (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), the benchmark for green buildings in North America.

The M hotel, Holiday Inn Express & Suites Saint-Hyacinthe, will be the first LEED certified hotel in Quebec, and the first of its kind under an IHG flag in Canada. Built on 4 floors, the project is evaluated at more than $ 10 million; this 60 000 square foot hotel will include 94 rooms, an indoor pool, a fitness center and 3 meeting rooms.

The M lifestyle center will be constructed with materials in accordance with environmental standards. To save energy, all buildings will have white roofs, Low E glass with argon gas and masonry on all four sides. Everything has been taken into consideration to reduce, reuse and recycle the building materials on the entire construction site. We have even foreseen parking spaces for hybrid vehicles.

Best practices, established standards and recent technology usage will be maximized to ensure the environmental performance of the buildings to help preserve our beautiful planet.
